Humor Therapy Facilitator
I have worked as a humor therapy facilitator since 2010 for various nonprofits. My work ranges from children’s hospitals, to rehab clinics, to battered women’s shelters, to veteran hospitals, and even working with patients and families via digital spaces.
I love using comedy as a way to bring healing and connection to those that need it most.
I wrote the essay below at age 8 when I was part of the Pop Warner Football League.
Healthy Humor
I have been with Healthy Humor non profit for over 5 years now, and love every shift in the pediatrics ward.
Healthy Humor’s Mission: “We are an arts organization whose professional performers create moments of joy, wonder, laughter and comfort for hospitalized children and all others who are most in need.”

The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp
The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp was founded in 1988 by Paul Newman with one simple premise in mind: to provide opportunities for children with serious illnesses to experience the transformational spirit and friendships that go hand-in-hand with camp.
I have had the honor and pleasure of spending my last 3 summers with this camp working as a humor facilitator for the kids and staff. From surprise sketches for the kids, to comedic educational videos with the doctors of camp for the rest of the staff, it has been the job I look forward to the most every year.
